Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 4, 2026
This policy explains what information Sea Liquidity ("we", "us") collects when you use sealiquidity.com and the Sea Liquidity app at app.sealiquidity.com, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We operate from Ontario, Canada.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address and your password. We never store the password itself, only a salted hash of it.
- Sign-in session. A random session token, kept in a secure cookie for up to 30 days. We store only a hash of the token.
- What you put in the app. Your journal entries, trade log, notes, drawings on charts and order history.
- Exchange API keys, if you connect an exchange. They are encrypted before they are stored and are never sent back to your browser.
- Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and basic request details (browser type, page requested, time). We use these to keep the service running and to stop abuse, for example with sign-in rate limits.
We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and we do not sell your information.
How we use it
- To create your account, sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To send account emails: confirming your address and resetting your password. We do not send marketing email.
- To show you your own journal, trades and orders. Other users can never see them.
- To send the orders you confirm to your exchange. An order is only sent when you press Confirm, and only that exact order, once.
- To fix problems and protect the service.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services needed to run Sea Liquidity:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and app and stores our database. If you use read-aloud, the text is turned into speech with Cloudflare's AI service.
- Resend delivers our account emails, so it receives your email address and the message.
- Your exchange. When you connect an exchange or confirm an order, we send your keys and the order to that exchange. Its own privacy policy then applies.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it. These providers may process data outside Canada, including in the United States.
Market data
Prices, news and other market data in Sea Liquidity come from public sources. Fetching them does not involve your personal information.
Cookies
The app uses one cookie, to keep you signed in. It is needed for the service to work, so there is no option to turn it off. The public website at sealiquidity.com sets no cookies of its own.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and records while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account details, records and stored exchange keys, except where the law requires us to keep something.
Security
Passwords are hashed, exchange keys are encrypted, connections use HTTPS and sign-in is rate limited. No system is perfectly secure, so use a strong, unique password. When you create exchange API keys, give them only the permissions you need, and never allow withdrawals.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or withdraw your consent, by emailing us. You can remove a connected exchange in the app at any time, and you can also revoke the API key on your exchange. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Sea Liquidity is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell signed-up users by email before it takes effect.
